General informations

  • Denomination: Toscana Rosso Igt Lapillo

  • Type of vine: Sangiovese in purity


  • Production area: Loc Montegiovi Castel del Piano (GR) Toscany

  • Impland density: 5000 stumps per hectar

  • Return per hectar: 60ql of grapes

  • Growing system: Cordone speronato basso (folding of the grapes at 90° binded together each other)

Wine processing

  • Vinification: Low fermentation temperature for a time total not hiher at 12 days

  • Aging and refinement: in stainless steel tanks for 18/20 months; at least 3 months in bottle


  • Colour: intense ruby colour with purple reflections

  • Bouquet: full and pervasive smell, with traces of violet, cherry and wild berries

  • Taste: sharp taste with tannins well distributed. Good freshness given by good acidity. Long and persistent with medium structure and notes of fruit and flowers in evidence

  • Pairing: first dishes with meat souce. White grilled meat. Mid maturing cheeses

  • Serving temperature: we advise to serve our wine at a temperature of 16/18°C
