About us

La Montagnetta is managed by Domenico Capello, and consists of ten hectares of vineyards. The winery is located in Roatto, and the plots are located in the hills of the Asti Territory. The company philosophy aims at enhancing the Freisa grape variety, which has been part of the local tradition for decades. In addition to the Freisa grape, grapes and wines are produced from local varieties such as Barbera and Bonarda, but also from “international” cultivars such as Chardonnay and Viognier.
