The winery of the Marchesi Pancrazi is located on the slopes of Monte Ferrato, 20 km from Florence, and develops around the Villa di Bagnolo. Chance played a fundamental role in the history of Villa di Bagnolo’s Pinot Noir, in fact in the 1970s when they wanted to replant the vineyards there was an error on the part of the nurseryman who supplied Pinot Nero instead of Sangiovese. Only after a few years, at the end of the 1980s, the mistake was realized and the potential given by the territory was fully converted to Pinot Noir.
