About us

Il Poggio is a family business located in Castiglione del Lago near Lake Trasimeno. Of 13 hectares of vineyards, 9 are of red grapes (Pinot Nero, Sangiovese, Merlot, Alicante, Cabernet and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo) and 4 of white grapes (Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Vermentino and Incrocio Manzoni); 12 wines are produced. The high technology, the equipment and the photovoltaic system make the cellar totally autonomous. The Educational Farm certification allows the company to offer food / wine tasting courses in the large wine tasting room.
