About us

Carlo Hauner, from Brescia of Bohemian origin, arrives in the Aeolian Islands on 1963. Always restless and curious, he’s attracted to the cultivation of Malvasia. Hauner learns the local wine-making techniques and integrates them with the study of ancient and modern texts. In 1968 – the first malvasia wine production. In our days the company produces three types of “Malvasia delle Lipari”, three reds, two whites, a kind of Grapa of Malvasia, capers and their sauce. The winery is located in Lingua, a charming hamlet of Santa Marina Salina (ME).
