Cornarea farm is situated in a village called Canale, in the centre of Roero. It is a family-run firm: the family Bovone produce wine since 1970 from the same vineyards. Its story is closely connected to that of the Arneis, autochthonous white wine, whose grapes are produced and vinified ever since 1400 only exclusively in the Roero area. In the early 70s, the Arneis grape was almost disappeared: Cornarea was the first to believe in this vine and to invest in its reclamation, planting 12 hectares of Arneis vinery on its hill, with an ideal exposure to the sun.
