About us

A story that began at the end of the 19th century with Luigi and Vito Cianfriglia, bakers in San Vito Romano, who, driven by the desire to produce wine, bought “LA CESA”, a land located halfway between San Vito Romano and Olevano Romano. Fernando, son of Luigi, in 1945 bought other lands and together with his sons Renato and Eugenio, they planted Bellone and Ottonese cultivar. In summer 2015 Alessandro, Renato’s grandson, started to help his grandfather in the countryside and soon became passionate about the vineyard and the marvellous art of making good wine. This is how he decided to embark on this fascinating adventure with Cantine il Moro.
